Description
Is Child Protective Services taking care of children in the Foster Care system? While intentions may be genuine, well-meaning efforts to help abused children have gone terribly wrong. America’s child welfare system is broken. Children are suffering. TRAGICALLY TAKEN is the riveting story of a family’s attempt to adopt two children in the Foster Care system. They soon discover resistance and experience the abusive power of an offended social worker. You’ll be touched at how God guides this mother to enter a struggle against powers of the state and becomes a voice for the voiceless. “A profoundly moving, haunting, and courageous story of one family who, despite seeing the dark side of the Foster Care and adoption system, chooses to continue fighting to make things better for other children. Whether you are an adoptive parent, aspire to be an adoptive parent, and or just care about the future of our young people, this book will change the way that you understand how the adoption process works in America. Chandra Moyer uses her own personal experiences to spark a movement for change, inspiring us to move from just being informed bystanders to being active advocates for change.” -Amy Blankson, Co-Founder of Good Think Inc
